The Healer feels what others feel before they have named it themselves, and this permeability is both their deepest gift and the thing that exhausts them most. This archetype marks those for whom care is not a choice but an orientation — who move instinctively toward suffering and have difficulty leaving until everyone is alright. Their attention creates the conditions in which others become honest with themselves. Their shadow is the self-erasure they have mistaken for generosity, placing their own needs last until they forgot what they were.
In relationships, the Healer is deeply nurturing, attuned and devoted, creating a safe haven for their partner. Their challenge is to receive care as well as give it, and to hold boundaries without guilt. Love asks the Healer to tend themselves as faithfully as they tend everyone else.
