Today the Triple Moon crowns the altars of Wiccans and goddess-honouring pagans, marks the covers of countless books on women's spirituality, and appears widely in jewellery and tattoo art. It is worn to honour the divine feminine, to mark life transitions — first blood, motherhood, menopause — and to reclaim the Crone's dignity in a youth-obsessed culture. Moon circles and women's gatherings across the world meet beneath this sign.
Spiritually, the Triple Moon teaches the holiness of cycles: nothing in the soul's life is meant to stay full forever, and the dark phases are as sacred as the bright. It invites the seeker to ask which face the moment wears — beginning, fullness or release — and to honour each without clinging. Meditation on the three phases heals the fear of ageing and ending, revealing them as the goddess's third and wisest face. The light that wanes, it promises, is the same light that returns.
